Data Deletion

You can request deletion of the data Suhika holds about you at any time. This page explains how, what happens after you ask, and a couple of limits worth knowing about up front.

How to request deletion

Send an email to amit@suhika.ai with the subject line "Data deletion request", including:

  • The WhatsApp phone number you messaged a clinic from (if you're a patient), or the email address on your account (if you're a doctor or clinic staff member).
  • The name of the clinic or practice you're associated with, if known.

If you'd rather go through your clinic directly, you can also ask your doctor's practice to submit the request to us on your behalf.

What happens next

  1. We'll confirm we've received your request within a few business days.
  2. We verify the request is genuinely coming from the account or number in question, to protect against someone else requesting deletion of your data.
  3. We delete your WhatsApp message history, uploaded documents, and account information from Suhika's systems, typically within 30 days of verification.
  4. We'll confirm once deletion is complete.

What this does and doesn't cover

Suhika platform data — your WhatsApp conversation history, uploaded documents, and any account we hold — is deleted from our systems as described above.

Your medical record with your doctor is a separate thing. Doctors and clinics have their own legal recordkeeping obligations for patient care, and information already shared with your treating doctor as part of your care may need to be retained by that practice independently of Suhika, regardless of a deletion request made to us.

WhatsApp / Meta Platforms, Inc. operates the messaging platform itself and retains data according to its own policies, separate from Suhika. See WhatsApp's Privacy Policy for details on how Meta handles message data.
